Yesterday wasn't the best day. Grant had a hard time re-grouping. Things seemed to mellow out with him so we took him to Al's Garden to see the train for Family Home Evening. He loved it! We let him push the button that makes the train run a bunch of times. Then we told him we would go look at the rest of the decorations and come back to see the train one last time....
Well, when we went back the train didn't work. I guess because it was so close to closing time they shut it off. He wasn't happy but we told him we'd come back another day and warned him that he needed to make good choices or Buddy wouldn't be able to go back to see Santa. He seemed to be okay and we walked out. He went to the potty and afterwords wanted to go back to the train and that's when everything fell apart! He no longer cared about the welfare of his Buddy. We had to haul his screaming booty to the car and put him to bed early.
This is how he discovered Buddy this morning...
Our poor little elf was sick!
He got into our oils cabinet and made himself a bed!
Our poor little elf didn't have enough magic
to fly back to the North Pole last night!
When Lil' Willis first discovered him
He was happy to see him...
Grant didn't know if Buddy would
even be here when he woke up!
But then he realized he was sick and injured
He was sad for his little friend
He told Daddy & Mommy Willis that he would be a
good boy today so buddy could regain enough magic
to fly home to Santa to get fully healed!
So far, Grant is living up to his words.
He has been an especially good boy today!
I suspect our little elf will be back to his mischievous ways very soon!
