Christmas Fun Part 2: Flirting with Dancing Elves

After the tree lighting, we headed down
to CrossFit on Main Street to get in line to meet Santa!!!!
While in line we were treated to free cookies, hot cocoa, apple cider and entertainment

Santa's Elves entertained the crowd by singing...
eventually they invited the kids to get involved!

Lil' Willis knows how to have a good time!
He was doing the boggy with Christmas music

Lil' Willis is a charming young boy!
Let the flirting with dancing elves begin....

For some reason he thought that her giving him
high fives with both hands was super hilarious!

After that he just couldn't let her go....
He had stars in his eyes!

Lil' Willis loves to sing....
even when he doesn't know the words!

This was the end of the song and it was a big note...

The girls adored him...
and who wouldn't?

Christmas Fun Part 1: Tree Lighting

We took our Lil' Willis to the Tigard Main Street Christmas Tree Lighting tonight and he had a blast!

Santa & Mrs. Claus arrived in police cars....
This was the coolest way Santa could have arrived for
a four-year boy who loves police cars and shiny lights!

It was raining but we're true
Oregonians so that didn't stop us!
I improvised with my scarf to try and save my hair....
(Keyword = TRY)

Santa & Mrs. Claus gave a shout out to the kids....
and then at the count of three
1.....2.....3........

The lights were on!
Aren't they just wonderful?
...Yeah, I was a little disappointed in the
... ummmmm...
lack of variety...

... But Lil' Willis thought it was cool and that's all that matters!

Elf on the Shelf: Day 3

Look what our little Buddy was up to last night!

This is how we found him this morning!
He decided to go for a little ride...
He even got our monkey, RJ, to join in on the mischief!

Lil' Willis got a kick out of his silly Buddy!
However, Tiny Willis (our chihuahua, Zoey) was a little freaked out....
But that is normal.

This is how we found Buddy when we went back a little later....
He is a little dare devil!

... I wonder what this silly Elf will come up with next!

Elf on the Shelf: Day 2

Today Buddy was extra silly.

He took all of Grants underwear and put them all over the Christmas tree.

Grant wears a pull up at night and went looking for his underwear in his room.
All he found was an empty drawer.
Then he turned the tree lights on at the request of Mommy.
He was shocked to find one of his underwear... and then another...

... and then he realized why he was finding all his underwear.
There on top of the tree was that silly elf, Buddy!
"Look! There's my friend!!!" - Grant

Grant decided to collect all of the underwear he could reach...
Then Mommy told him to go get dressed....

... and while he was getting dressed, we got a good picture of that Silly Elf.

Then Lil' Willis was back to point out his funny Buddy fully clothed!

I wonder what Buddy will be
up to tomorrow....

Elf on the Shelf: Day 1

This year we started a new Christmas tradition in our family, the elf on the shelf. Daddy & Mommy Willis have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little Willis Elf. Today was his first day and we're happy to report that he is just as much trouble as the rest of The Willis....
He will fit right in!

We anticipated his arrival, so we decided to have a fun
breakfast ready for our little Buddy (Doughnuts and Milk)....

... Little did we know that our little Buddy would eat an entire chocolate doughnut all by himself during the night!
He even took a few bites of Grant's blue doughnut....

... and drank all the milk! That silly elf!

Grant first noticed the book on the table.
He was super worried that Buddy hadn't
arrived when he found his box empty!

... it took him a few minutes but he finally found that mischievous elf!

Christmas Time is Here!

The day after Thanksgiving marks the beginning of Christmas time for Willis. We spent the weekend decking the house. I mostly supervised as I was in throbbing pain from my dyeing tooth that is in need of a root canal.

Grant took control this year. It was super fun to watch him really want to be involved in the festivities. Last year he just wanted to run around like a mad child and get in the way, so this was much better. Below is a few pictures of our little helper.

Friday night we got the tree out and put the lights on it. He was awesome and held the lights for daddy as they went around the tree.

Saturday morning we put the decorations on the tree.
Keep in mind that Grant completely dressed himself from head to toe

That is a stocking on his right foot (yes, just his right foot).
.... he called it a "big, big, big sock" hehe

The Willis Christmas season has begun...
